You are living your best life when your mind and body are balanced and healthy. That's why I take a holistic approach to preventing and reversing disease.
Hi! My name is Maxine Silk (Lic.Ac, AAC, ARA) and I practice Traditional 5 Element Acupuncture holding weekly clinics in Ashby De La Zouch in North West Leicestershire.
My practice is founded on the belief that we need to promote health through balance. Balance in diet, fluids, sleep, exercise, emotions and lifestyle.
My goal is to provide a complementary medical care that will reverse and prevent disease using the fundamental healing principles of the body.
The key to 5 element acupuncture is the core belief that many physical symptoms experienced by people today are the result of emotional and spiritual distress rather than physical attributes.
Whether you are experiencing a chronic issue, a recent injury or want to achieve optimal health, restoring balance is the key to your well-being.
I treat according to your specific condition and will suggest a particular therapy if I think it will improve your condition.
Better health starts with a home blood test Blood tests help you take control of your health. Our at-home tests check dozens of biomarkers across hormone health, fertility, nutrition, general well-being and more.
In 2023 I qualified as a Medical Phlebotomist. Blood tests are available as finger prick tests in Ashby de la Zouch
Educated at The Acupuncture Academy in Leamington Spa I was awarded a Distinction for their Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture, as well as Highly Commended for my clinical work. My training was extensive and covered all aspects of Chinese medical and acupuncture theory, with a focus on the five element approach. This means that I consider your main health problem, as well as taking a more holistic approach to you as an individual.
I further developed my skills, learning Toyohari acupuncture by completing a (120 hours) post-graduate course delivered by the UK Toyohari Association (TUK) which is part of the European Branch of the Toyohari Association (EBTA).
In 2023 I qualified as a Medical Phlebotomist and I am now able to conduct private Blood Tests
I am a member of the AAC (Association of Acupuncture Clinicians) and adhere to the AAC's Code of Professional Conduct and Code of Safe Practice. I have recently also joined the Japanese Acupuncture and Moxibustion Association.
I care about your overall well being and will provide you with the guidance, knowledge, and tools needed to be healthy. Let me help you achieve optimal wellness!
